Introduction

This Peacock hand painted dupatta is a real art showcase of our Indian handloom weavers. The hand painting is done using a special wooden pen, and the process includes boiling, washing and treating the fabric with milk.This particular variety of Peacock print dupatta takes 5 days and two weavers to get ready. Mela haat aims to sustain handloom weaving as a good rural livelihood option. We work directly with the weavers as well as the SHGs in all parts of India .We  work towards capacity building in these SHG and makes interventions in design.
